Look, I know what happens when I work out at night: I can’t sleep. Still, yesterday, 7:00pm was the most convenient time for me to do it, since there was space for me in the class at OTF Boulder and I was coaching a class immediately afterward. And it’s been awhile since I did a work out at night, so maybe things have changed? I gave it a try.
And This Is How It Went:
- 7:00: Fantastic strength workout!
- 8:15: Coached the same fantastic strength workout.
- 9:45: Home. Ate the sushi Brent brought home for me, that I hadn’t had time to eat before I left.
- 10:30: Went to bed.
- 11:15: Still awake.
- Shortly thereafter: Asleep and dreaming. There was an army involved. I was coaching class in a space that was definitely not designed for class, wearing a vest that was both bulky and heavy. At least I had my stopwatch.
- Then: AWAKE. Ready for the day. It’s still pretty dark though, doesn’t really feel like morning. Should I make coffee?
- Maybe 15 minutes later: I get up to check the time and go to the bathroom.
- 12:58: The day is not ready for me. I go back to bed. Fall asleep with some time and effort.
- 6:00: Brent’s alarm rings. I hear that, but I don’t hear him leaving the room.
- 7:30: Awake. Not at all ready for the day.
Folks Who Work Out at Night: How?
What time of day works best for you to exercise, both by schedule and by preference or how it feels in your body?
I used to love the early morning. Nowadays, sometime between nine and noon is my preference, though it definitely doesn’t always work out that way schedule-wise.
Good morning, miss you like crazy! How is CO treating you so far? So my schedule has change, no longer Graveyard, now early morning 5am-1pm. Boys are now becoming more independent, Jordon is walking, the school is in walking distance and and Jaydon is taking the bus. Anyways I’m now getting 8/7 hours of sleep (yes!) and I’m still getting use to this, I feel more tired😩 now. But I get off at 1pm and to wait til the 5:15pm class is killer, lol I get lazy and relaxed by that time, but it’s in the works. Tell me all about Colorado!!!
Miss you, too! That is a big schedule change for you and I’m sure it’ll take some getting used to. Sounds like you need a 1:30 class so you can go straight from work to the gym. 🙂 Colorado is good! I’m still getting used to things, too….mostly the weather. 🙂 My schedule is random right now, as I’m subbing at a couple of different studios. Have you ever been here? You’ll have to come visit!
